Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Monday lauded External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for her powerful speech at the United National General Assembly, saying she put forward India's views on terrorism very strongly.
"Our Minister did give a very clear and strong message on terrorism," Mahajan said in a statement here
Referring to Sanskrit saying "Bajradapi Katho-rani Mriduni Kusuma-dapi", the Speaker said that Sushma Swaraj's performance shows she is able to display "a tough exterior but soft emotional heart" before a global platform.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had complimented the foreign minister for putting forward her speech in a forthright manner.
