The condition of veteran author and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner Mahasweta Devi, and singer Nirmala Mishra, who were admitted to hospitals here, was stable, sources said on Wednesday.
Mahasweta Devi is recuperating now, hospital sources said. The 89-year-old social activist was admitted to a private hospital here recently on complaints of fever and unease.
Septuagenarian Mishra, who suffered a brain stroke, was also better.
However, legendary tabla player Shankar Ghosh continues to be in coma for over two weeks, his percussionist son Bickram Ghosh said.
