English Premier League's reigning champions Leicester City have confirmed the signing of a new four-year contract with star winger Riyad Mahrez.
The announcement ended speculation about the winger's immediate future. Mahrez was one of the architects of Leicester's league win last season, reports Xinhua.
"Leicester City Football Club is delighted to announce that Riyad Mahrez has signed a new contract, committing his future to the Foxes until June, 2020," said a statement issued by the club on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Algeria international contributed 17 goals and another 11 assists in Leicester's bid for the 2015-16 title.
He was also named Player of the Year by England's Professional Footballers' Association.
