About 60 members of the All India Women's Democratic Association (AIWDA) on Thursday protested outside the Saudi Arabian embassy here to protest against the alleged rape of two Nepali women by a Saudi Arabian diplomat.

They demanded that the Saudi diplomat's immunity be revoked and legal action taken against him.

"We demand action against the Saudi diplomat and that his diplomatic immunity must be revoked. The whereabouts of 30 other women held captive by Saudi nationals should also be traced," said AIWDA secretary Sahiba.

A diplomat at the Saudi Arabian embassy in New Delhi and some unidentified persons were booked on charges of rape, gang rape and illegal confinement by Gurgaon Police. His wife and daughter were booked for torturing the domestic helps.

However, the Saudi embassy dismissed the charges as "completely false and contrary to facts in our possession", and said it would wait for the Indian government to clarify the matter as per the diplomatic norms.
