West Bengal chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sought an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her visit to the national capital next week to brief him fully about the flood damages in her state.

"I am visiting Delhi between August 11-12. I have sought time from the PM. I will give him full report of damages caused by flood," Banerjee told media persons at the state secretariat Nabanna.

The chief minister said her government would also ask the central government to waive loans taken by farmers and offer them compensation.
