A 22-year-old man was arrested for murdering a Delhi Police constable in May 2012, police said Wednesday. Another accused was arrested earlier.

Constable Naresh was crushed to death while he was trying to apprehend Asfaq and his accomplice. The accused were fleeing in a mini-truck with stolen cattle.

As Naresh tried to stop the mini-truck, the accused ran over him, crushing him to death.

"Asfaq, a resident of Mewat in Haryana, was arrested from Narela area in west Delhi Tuesday. He had a Rs.10,000 reward on his head," said a police officer.

Asfaq's accomplice Shakir was arrested in November 2012. Another accused is on the run.

Mewat district in Haryana is infamous for cattle thieves.
