A man was charged Friday for allegedly confronting manager Arsene Wenger during Arsenal's 0-2 defeat away against Southampton in an English Premier League football match Jan 1.
Luke Bryant, 25, from Hampshire allegedly approached Wenger on the area adjacent to the pitch before being led away by stewards and detained by police, according to bbc.com.
Southampton FC has said that the miscreant was an Arsenal fan who had been sitting with home supporters.
But Wenger, 65, believed he was a home supporter.
Arsenal are at present sixth on the standings with 33 points after Round 20. Southampton are two places above Arsenal with 36 points.
