Manchester City has announced it would run a chartered train between London and Manchester to draw fans in the first leg match of the Champions League football semi-final against Real Madrid.

The first leg match will be played at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester next Tuesday, reports Efe.

The club expects the exclusive club-chartered train service between London's Euston station and Manchester's Piccadilly to be a huge hit with the fans, following other popular Man City-sponsored journeys in Europe when it played Dynamo Kyiv and PSG.

The City Express will make it possible for southern-based team to enjoy the first Champions League semi-final in the club's history and travel home on the same night.

The special train, which will only serve City fans who have a ticket for next Tuesday's match, will cost about 60 pounds ($85) for economy class seats and around 100 pounds ($143) for first class.

According to the club's official website on Monday, fans who have already bought a ticket can book their place in the City Express for just 60 pounds ($86) for Standard Class return or 100 pounds ($144+VAT) for First Class.
