Palmeiras striker Gabriel Jesus was on Monday honoured with the Brazilian Serie A Golden Ball award for helping the Sao Paulo side win the title in 2016, according to several social media reports.
This was Palmeiras' first championship title in 22 years.
The 19-year-old recruit played his final game for the Verdao, having already agreed a move to Manchester City in January.
But he signed off with the prize that mattered on Monday, having scored 12 goals in a breakout season at his boyhood club.
Jesus is now part of an elite group of players who have taken the Bola de Ouro, which includes Romario, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Roberto Dinamite, Pele and Zico.
