A 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly committing a triple murder three years ago with the help of his four associates, police said Tuesday.
Jaswant Dagar was arrested Sunday from Najafgarh in west Delhi on a tip-off.
Jaswant, along with his associates, had killed three people - Sudhir, Kuldeep and Amit - all resident of Sonepat in Haryana, over business rivalry.
"Jaswant served liquor to all the three victims before killing them in his office in Najafgarh. Later, he bundled all the bodies in his car with the help of his associates and took them to Gurgaon. The bodies were burnt by him at a secluded place there," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), Rajiv Ranjan said.
A case regarding the incident was registered by Gurgaon police Nov 2011 and two of the accused Rajesh and Bijender, both resident of Sonipat, were arrested in 2013.
"Jaswant's role came to light after the arrested accused disclosed his involvement in the case. Since then he was evading arrest," said the official.
Jaswant, a resident of Baba Haridas Nagar in west Delhi, has been involved in seven cases of extortion, land grabbing and robbery.
