A man who used to run an illegal business of refilling LPG cylinders was Saturday blown to pieces in an explosion in his house here, police said.

Gore Lal, a resident of Rahul Vihar here, used to refill LPG cylinders in his one room house.

The incident took place Saturday morning in which Lal, originally a resident of Etah in Uttar Pradesh, was killed.

Police said his body parts were found scattered 10 feet from his house. Several empty LPG cylinders and refilling equipment were recovered from his house.

"The pieces of the body have been collected and sent for a post-mortem (examination)...," said Superintendent of Police Shiv Hari Meena.

During investigations, it was found that Lal used to run a taxi service as well and had installed equipment to refill LPG cylinders used in cabs.

Most of the cab drivers in the area used to refill their cylinders from him. He had also started refilling cylinders of domestic users.
