A 22-year-old man was shot dead outside a cafe here by his friends after an altercation over some issue, police said on Tuesday.

Mohit Jhanghu was shot dead by Abhishek alias Nitu and his friends in the upscale Palam Vihar market. The incident occurred late on Monday night.

Jhanghu, a resident of Daultabad village near Gurgaon, was known to Nitu who hails from nearby Dhanwapur village.

"The deceased received at least four bullets. We are investigating the case. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination," Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar told IANS.

Abhishek alias Nitu and others were booked for murder. No one has been arrested so far.
