A 34-year-old man was stabbed several times allegedly by his girlfriend's brothers here, police said Saturday. The victim is battling for his life in a city hospital while two of the accused have been arrested.
The victim, identified as Sujit, was stabbed more than 15 times allegedly by three brothers of his girlfriend and one of their friends in east Delhi's Trilokpuri Friday night.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to Safdarjung hospital where he is battling for his life. One of the brothers of the girl has been arrested along with his friend, while the other two brothers are absconding, police said.
During police investigation, it was found that Sujit had an affair with the girl for the past few months.
The girl's brothers had allegedly warned Sujit a few days ago to keep away from their sister. On Friday, they saw Sujit talking to their sister, and called him to meet them outside his house where they stabbed him, police said.
