Manish Paul, set to make his Bollywood debut with "Mickey Virus", hopes to work with Karan Johar one day as the popular filmmaker has promised him a suitable role in future.

"Karan sir and I are very good friends. But I don't talk to him about films. I have never asked him for a film," the 31-year-old said here Thursday at the first look launch of "Mickey Virus".

"But yes, Karan sir himself has told me that if he has a good script for me only then he will call me because he says he doesn't want to waste me by giving me just any role.

"Let's hope for the best that Karan sir gets some good script, which he thinks is suitable for me. And I am sure he will offer me the film," he added.

Both Manish and Karan are currently seen on the sixth season of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" - while the former is hosting it, the latter is seen judging the dance reality show along with actress Madhuri Dixit and choreographer-director Remo D'Souza.

So far Manish has hosted the kids dance show "Dance India Dance Li'l Masters" and "India's Got Talent Season 4" for the small screen and "Micky Virus" is his big leap to the silver screen.

Written and directed by Saurabh Verma and set in Delhi, "Mickey Virus" is about a hacker and it also marks half-Greek half-Swedish Elli Avram's debut in Bollywood.

It is slated for a Sep 13 release. Manish showed a rough cut of his film to all three judges of the "Jhalak..." and says they were impressed.

"I had shown them a rough cut and they were happy with it. I was actually scared to show it to them because they are all stars in their (respective) fields," Manish said.

"I have only hosted till now and no one has seen me act. So, I was scared, but thankfully, all three responded well. I hope everyone reacts the same way," he added.
