A group of armed Maoist guerrillas in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district set on fire a petrol vend owned by a BJP legislator after he refused to pay them levy, police said Friday.
Police official Anil Kumar Singh said 15 to 20 Maoists attacked the petrol vend owned by Ramsurat Rai, Bharatiya Janata Party's legislator from Aurai. They first beat up the staff at tne vend and then set it on fire Thursday night.
Singh said the Maoists exploded bombs to damage the petrol vend near Patyasa. Police have recovered three live bomb from the site.
