Football legend Diego Maradona has been accused of throwing stones at journalists and kicking a photographer following his arrival at Argentina's Ezeiza international airport.

The 52-year-old and his 22-year-old girlfriend, Rocio Oliva, were surrounded by journalists and fans upon arriving at the terminal Wednesday and allegedly asked his security team to use physical force to disperse onlookers, reports Xinhua.

The couple was then followed by media crew as he drove to the home of former girlfriend Veronica Ojeda to meet his three-month old son, Diego Fernando, for the first time.

"On the way, in heavy rain, Maradona made the car stop, got out with a Havana cigar in his hand, took some stones from the edge of the highway and started throwing them at reporters' cars and kicked a photographer's leg," a paparazzo told La Red radio.

The 1986 World Cup winner is currently living in Dubai, where he coached local outfit Al Wasl before being sacked in July last year.
