Real Madrid defender Marcelo has avoided discussing the possible return of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho to the Spanish club.
"Today I'm here to talk about the Club World Cup. I'm sure you're asking me because he was once a Real Madrid coach," Marcelo said at a press conference on Tuesday night.
The Brazil defender lamented that Manchester United has sacked Mourinho, who led Real Madrid between 2010- 2013, due to the poor results this season in the English Premier League, reports Efe news.
"He is a top coach and it is a shame that he is now without a club," the Brazil defender regretted.
Marcelo insisted that he does not have the right to decide whether Mourinho can return to Spain, adding that he appreciates great things achieved by the Portuguese coach for Real Madrid and for himself.
