Tennis champion Maria Sharapova ventured into business with a sweets line by the name of Sugarpova, and now she has plans to branch out into the cosmetics and fashion markets.
The 26-year-old had recently launched her sweets range for department store Selfridges.
"I really do (want to expand). I see it going into cosmetics, and then fashion. Creatively, I've always had a thing for fashion, so I would love it. But that's down the line," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Sharapova as saying.
The tennis player admits her personal style is quite classic as she usually sticks to simple, well-tailored pieces, but she also thinks it's important to have fun with clothes and to be able to express yourself through accessories and bold colours.
"It's very individual, that's what I love about it. It's very experimental - people can express their own style and personality through their clothing and accessories," she said.
"What I love about (fashion) is that there are no rules. That's what makes it fun. On a day-to-day basis my style is pretty casual. Overall I think my style is pretty elegant - I pay a lot of attention to the details in clothes. I think the material and the tailoring really make an outfit," she added.
