Markets continues to be on higher note

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Thursday continued on the positive range after opening on a higher note.

After see-sawing a bit between negative and positive range, the markets continued on a higher note.

The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after opening at 25,980.86 points touched a high of 26,016.39 and a low of 25,941.91 points.

Shares of housing finance company HDFC, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto gained during the morning trade while ONGC and Axis Bank scrips went down marginally at the BSE.

The Sensex is trading at 26,007.83 points up by 47.80 points or 0.18 percent.

 

The Sensex closed at 25,960.03 points on Wednesday.

Similarly, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) continued to be on the positive range around noon.

The Nifty is trading at 7,912.80 points as against the previous days closure of 7,896.25 points.
