Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) on Thursday said he was relaxed about his chances of securing the championship title at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix.
Marquez, who has a 77 point lead, could seal the title on Sunday, with just 100 points left to play for this season., reports Efe.
"No stress, no panic, (there are) four races to the end of the season", Marquez told a press conference.
He highlighted race victories in Aragon and last time out in Thailand as "very important", particularly considering the pace that Ducati riders have shown during the second part of the season.
"With these victories we were able to increase the advantage in the championship, get a bit closer to our final goal," Marquez said.
He said his focus was on performing well during practice, reminding spectators that his main rival, Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso, is "very, very fast here in Motegi normally".
