A woman and her relation were found murdered in her house here on Monday morning and her husband, who is the prime suspect, is missing, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal said Premlata, 24, and her husband Mohit Yadav's cousin Soniya, 22, were found murdered in the house in Wazirabad area of north Delhi.
Narwal told IANS that the two women were killed with a knife and a screw driver and they were probing the motive behind the double murder.
Mohit Yadav has been missing from the house since then, police said, adding they came to know of the crime when they received a phone call around 11 a.m. informing that a woman had been found dead in her house with her throat slit.
A police officer privy to the case told IANS that there were two CCTV cameras on the street outside the house where the murder took place and they were analysing the footage.
"This will clear the fact whether any outsider was involved in the murder or not," he said.
