Leading passenger automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki on Thursday reported a 3.7 percent rise in its sales for last month.
The company sold 113,759 units during the month under review from an off-take of 109,742 units in the corresponding month of 2014.
The automobile manufacturer's sales during August had risen by 6.4 percent y-o-y to 117,864 units.
Domestic sales during the month under review rose by 6.8 percent at 106,083 units from 99,290 units sold in September, 2014.
Exports plunged by 26.6 percent in the month under review with 7,676 units being shipped out from 10,452 units being sold abroad during the corresponding month of 2014.

The sales of passenger car segment surged 7.9 percent to 87,916 units being sold during last month from 81,447 units off-take in the like period of 2014.
The company's passenger car segment comprises of brands like Alto, WagonR, Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Dzire, Dzire Tour, SX4 and Ciaz.
The off-take of utility vehicles which comprises of brands like Gypsy, Ertiga and the new crossover S-Cross rose by 5.9 percent at 6,331 units from sales of 5,980 units in September, 2014.
The sales of van segment, which includes Omni and Eeco, slipped by 0.2 percent at 11,836 units from an off-take of 11,863 units in the corresponding month of previous year.
The company's scrip at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) declined by 1.97 percent at Rs.4,597 around 2.15 p.m. from its previous close of Rs.4,689.30 on Thursday.
