The first look of Mammootty's much-awaited action film "Kasaba" gave way to social media users getting creative -- from replacing the background with 'Iron Throne' of "Game of Thrones" to Mammootty relaxing on elephant's tuskers. Calling it "modern face of satire", the Malayalam superstar says memes and trolls have become the "new whips of the digital generation".
The film marks the return of Mammootty to the silver screen after a long gap. And the poster shows the actor playing a poli ce officer lounging on the front of a police jeep with a thick moustache and shades. But social media users saw it differently.
Instead of getting bugged by the trolls, Mammootty found humour in their actions as he posted a number of trolls on his official Facebook page.
"Here are few trolls for the 'Kasaba' first look poster... I was blown away. I guess this is the modern face of satire. Memes and Trolls are the new whips of the digital generation. I will upload more of them as I come across," Mammootty shared.
"Kasaba" is directed by Nithin Renji Panicker. It is likely to release in June.
