Meru Cabs launch new service in NCR

Cab provider Meru Friday launched a hatchback taxi service - Genie - in the national capital region with an initial investment of Rs.60 crore.

According to the last-mile connectivity provider, nearly 1,000 cabs will be added to the new service model in the next six months. It has been started with an initial 100 taxis.

The company said the new service costs Rs.16 per km against n average of Rs.22 per km for other taxi services.

The company already has new the service model in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.
