La Reunion authorities said no clues relating to the missing flight MH370 have been found here since the launch of a tri-dimensional search.

"No debris, neither appearing from an aircraft nor related to MH370, has been found. The search will continue this week as different means and surveillance will be deployed," Xinhua quoted the La Reunion provincial government as saying on Monday.

The statement said the search is meant to detect the possible presence of new floating debris off La Reunion or washed up on the island.

A Casa army mil-air freighter, a Panther helicopter and a La Verdon patrol boat have been deployed so far, with 35 persons involved in the search from the sky and sea, from Aug 7 to 9.

"The French government is concerned over any possible discovery of debris," the statement said.

The French government ramped up the search for MH370 plane wreckage on the east coast of La Reunion island last Friday, after a plane part found here earlier was confirmed as that of the missing plane. The search will continue for a week, authorities said.

The Malaysian flight went missing in March 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. A total of 239 people were on board.
