Domestic smartphone-maker Micromax on Friday launched Unite 4 Plus smartphone for Rs 7,999, thus extending its successful regional language-based Canvas Unite Series in the country.
The Unite 4 Plus comes with Indus operating system 2.0 that offers smartphone ecosystem in 12 regional languages and is packed with features such as Indus swipe, hybrid keyboard, text-to-speech, and Indus' regional language app marketplace -- App Bazaar.
With the upgraded Unite series smartphones, Micromax is targeting 300 million first-time users in the country who are willing to move to smartphones over the next three years but have not because they are uncomfortable using a device in English.
Canvas Unite 4 Plus features 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.1GHz quad-core processor paired up with 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, fingerprint sensor and runs on Android Marshmallow operating system.
The 4G LTE-enabaled smartphone sports 8MP rear camera, 5MP rear camera and houses 2500mAh battery.
