Sampdoria head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said Napoli deserved the victory following their 0-2 loss at home.

However, Mihajlovic was happy with the performance of his side which rattled the woodwork on a couple of occasions Monday, reports Xinhua.

"Without doubt Napoli deserved the victory and we have nothing to complain about. It can happen to lose here but the most important things were the performance and the chances that we managed to create against a strong side like Napoli in their own stadium," Mihajlovic said.

Napoli head coach Rafa Benitez warned his side should "be quicker at finishing games off".

"The team had many scoring opportunities and could've made the difference in the first half. The game was more open in the second and they caused us problems but we got the goals," Benitez said.

"I would like to see us stronger in defence and quicker at finishing games off but it's reassuring to see such attacking football. This is an attack-minded team and it's something we have to take into account when looking at how we defend."
