Actor Milind Soman, who won the title of 'Ironman' last year for being fit as a fiddle at 50, says it is important for women to understand the value of a 'holistically healthy lifestyle'.
The actor, who keeps taking part in several runs to propagate the importance of healthy living, also asserted that women should focus on mental, physical and emotional well-being.
"Indian woman plays a pivotal role in influencing and inspiring both her family and her world, and it is important for her to understand the value of a holistically healthy lifestyle, be it for mental, physical or emotional well-being, for her own health and the health of everyone around her," Milind said in a statement.
Milind is also the founder of Pinkathon Empowering Indian Women, a women's marathon to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle for women and issues like breast cancer.
And the actor says that "Pinkathon is not just a run, it is a seed of change and a celebration of a healthy lifestyle for women".
This season, Hershey's energy drink Sofit has collaborated with Pinkathon as their official energy partner for the Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru editions.

Sofit will be the lead partner for the 10K category as they lend their support to raise awareness about breast cancer. A multi-city campaign has been planned for Pune (November 13), Mumbai (December 18) and Bengaluru (January 29).
Milind says he is happy with the collaboration.
He said: "We are happy that brands like Hershey's Sofit are encouraging the concept of self empowerment through sport, and making Pinkathon a sustainable health programme for women."
