Militants of the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) have kidnapped 10 children in Turkey's eastern province of Mus, a media report said Monday.
The group of 30 militants kidnapped the children aged 12-15 from a mosque in Bulanik town Sunday night, Xinhua reported citing Hurriyet newspaper.
The kidnapped children include a girl.
A rescue operation has been launched.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US and the European Union, took up arms in 1984 in a bid to create an ethnic homeland in southeastern Turkey.
Since then, more than 40,000 people have been killed in conflicts involving the group.
