A four-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by his school principal in Pakistan's Faisalabad city, triggering protests by family members and residents Thursday, a leading Pakistani daily reported.
The protestors took to streets in Faisalabad's Ghulam Mehmoodabad area, burned tyres, blocked roads and ransacked the school following the incident, The Dawn reported.
The condition of the minor is stated to be critical, the daily said.
The protestors also forced the school to shut down after which students too joined in the protest.
Later, a heavy contingent of police personnel rushed to the site and managed to control the situation. The accused has been arrested.
