The BJP on Tuesday said its ministers in the Narendra Modi-led government would be present at different places in Uttar Pradesh to participate in various events being organised to make the International Day of Yoga a success.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak told IANS that while union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would be in Lucknow, his parliamentary constituency, on the Yoga Day, on June 21, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar would be in Meerut.
Another union Minister, Kalraj Mishra will be in Varanasi while Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti would perform Yoga in Jhansi, her parliamentary constituency.
In-charge of the party's affairs in the state Om Mathur and union Minister Ram Shanker Katehria would take part in Yoga events in Agra and all other MPs of the party have been instructed to be present in their parliamentary constituencies.
Party legislators also have been asked not only to take part in the Yoga Day events but also to ensure that large number of people also join in events related to the maiden International Yoga Day.
