Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to China has helped create a positive atmosphere for the future of Sino-Indian relations, Minister of State for External Affairs V.K. Singh said on Thursday.

"This positive atmosphere which has been created will help solve the border issue also," V.K. Singh said at the 'Manthan' conclave organised here by Aaj Tak news channel.

He said the prime minister's recently concluded visit to China has had many positive outcomes.

"Many deals have been inked. The future has been discussed. A friendly atmosphere has been created," he added.

V.K. Singh said China faces as much danger from terrorism as India does. "China, I think, will surely stand by us for long-term considerations.

"Whatever the prime minister went for has been achieved," he said.

On Pakistan, he said India has made it clear that terrorism cannot be the policy of any country. "We hope the indications to them are clear," he added.

On the achievements of the Modi government on the foreign policy front, he said: "In one year of this government, people have gained confidence in India."

"We are trying to bring in a systemic change. It is like homeopathic treatment when we try to cure a disease from the roots."
