Modi wave continues in India, says Amit Shah

The Modi confidante says BJP will form govt in Haryana and Maharashtra

BJP chief Amit Shah Sunday credited the party's spectacular showing in Maharashtra and Haryana to the "Modi wave".

Amit Shah said the assembly election results in the two states proved the "Modi wave" continues to be a tsunami.

"...for those who thought Modi wave is over, this is proof that it's still a tsunami that can crush all competition," Amit Shah said.

"This proves that people of India have chosen Narendra Modi as their leader," he said.

Shah added that the BJP will form the government in both states.

Asked about the possibility of an alliance with the Shiv Sena, Shah said: "We never tried to break the alliance, nor were we responsible for the break-up".
