Actor Mohit Malik says aspiring actors have taught him the importance of breaking one's ego.
Mohit is currently seen playing a father on "Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala".
"There were about two fiction shows that I was on board for and I did wait for them to begin, I almost waited for a year and eventually none of them worked out. An unpredictable profession such as ours, one year is a lot to go by without any substantial work.
"To be honest it was a tough time but it later turned out to be a blessing in disguise," Mohit said in a statement.
Before fretting over losing out on projects after tasting success, the "Doli Armaano Ki" actor decided to unlearn rather "better my craft and hone my acting skills".
"I attended a workshop by Atul Mongia who has shaped many lives and made actors stars. Training with him was a life-changing idea. I had done some good work over the years and made a decent name for myself, but I started learning again with newbies and aspiring actors that taught me the importance to break one's ego. I got a whole new perspective," he shared.

"You're never too old to learn anything new. In fact, I work with two little girls on my show and there's so much to learn from them too," he added.
