Football giants Mohun Bagan's President Swapan Sadhan Bose on Tuesday resiged citing ill health.
In a letter to the club, Bose said he had not been keeping well for some years and that his health was deteriorating.
"As you are aware I have not been keeping good health but still pulling through by sheer will power and by the grace of god," read the letter sent to club General Secretary Anjan Mitra.
"With this condition I am not doing justice to the chair of President of our beloved club. I hereby resign from the post with immediate effect."
