Two women engineering students Monday filed a complaint with the Konkan Railway Police that they were harassed and molested by a group of 70 men on a train from Mumbai to Goa, police said.

The two women, studying at an institute in Goa, said the group of men, believed to be employees of an international food chain, boarded their coach at Panvel station in Maharashtra, over 450 km from here, and started teasing and trying to touch them.

The group got down at Chiplun station, also in Maharashtra.

The women filed the complaint alleging molestation and criminal intimidation after alighting at the Margao railway station in Goa, 35 km from the capital, police said.
