The southwest monsoon has remained largely subdued in Himachal Pradesh with most of the areas not experiencing any rains at all for the past few days, the regional Met office said on Wednesday.
There could be less rain activity in the state till August 5, but afterwards heavy rain is likely, it said.
"Monsoon was weak in the state as rainfall occurred at some places. There is no appreciable change in the minimum and maximum temperatures in the past 24 hours since Tuesday," an official of the weather bureau told IANS.
While the tourist towns of Manali and Palampur saw no rains, Shimla experienced a mild spell of rain and saw a low of 15.9 degrees Celsius.
Dharamsala in Kangra district recorded the state's highest rainfall of 47.6 mm, while it was 37 mm in Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district.
