The Southwest monsoon remained subdued in Himachal Pradesh on Friday and only some of the areas experienced rainfall, a Met official here said.
However, there could be widespread rains from Sunday with chances of heavy spells at many places, he said.
"Monsoon has largely been dormant for the past few days as precipitation occurred at some places in the past 24 hours (since Thursday)," a weather bureau official told IANS.
There was no appreciable change in the minimum temperature but the maximum increased by two to three degrees.
The tourist towns of Shimla, Manali, Palampur and Dalhousie saw mild to moderate rains.
Jubbarhatti near Shimla recorded the state's highest rainfall of 41.5 mm.
