Head coach of the Moroccan football team Badou Zaki has been dismissed due to poor results after leading the team for 20 months.
The departure of Zaki, 57, was already taken for granted in recent days but the dismissal was officially announced on Wednesday, reports Efe.
Zaki was goalkeeper at Spanish side Real Mallorca from 1987 to 1992.
The Moroccan football federation has not yet named Zaki's successor.
The Moroccan media speculated that the next coach will be Frenchman Herve Renard, who recently terminated his contract with French club Lille.
He has a lot of experience in African football after coaching the national teams of Cote d'Ivoire, Zambia and Angola.
