An overwhelming majority of people in France do not believe that President Fracois Hollande could deliver on his promise of redcuing unemployment rate in the country, a survey has found.
It has been revealed that as many as 84 percent of the French believe Hollande will miss his target of reversing unemployment rate by the year-end, Xinhua reported.
According to international marketing firm IFOP's survey for Valeurs Actuelles magazine, one in six French expressed doubt over Hollande's ability to deliver on his promise to bring down the number of unemployed people, which is a fresh blow to the Socialist statesman who already suffers from declining popularity.
In the Left camp, two thirds of respondents said the president would not reach his objective, the survey said.
During a visit to Roche-sur-Yon, an administrative division in western France to promote his roadmap to create jobs, Hollande Tuesday claimed to achieve his year-end promise via thousands of state-sponsored jobs.
At the end of June, jobless claims hit a fresh record to 3.28 million, up by 0.5 percent from May figures.
