Motivity Labs launches innovation centre

Motivity Labs, a leading provider of mobile, cloud and big data solutions to global enterprises, launched an innovation centre on Wednesday for digital and smart India.

This centre will focus on the creation of digital solutions that will help accelerate the implementation of the digital India vision including smart cities.

The centre has come up on about 33,000 square feet of space. It plans to have 1,000 employees over the next three years.

Telangana's Minister for Information Technology K.T. Rama Rao inaugurated the centre, which will partner with state and local governments, leading infrastructure players and help them implement digital and smart city solutions by integrating the best of breed products combined with the company's expertise in implementing similar solutions globally.

 

Company officials said they were aligning their capabilities in line with the government of India's vision of setting up 100 smart cities.

Motivity Labs has been working with innovative companies in the areas of IoT sensors, smart networking grids, digital image processing, deep learning algorithms, device and data security, and data science.

It has smart city experience in implementation of solutions for traffic patterns, street lighting, energy and water efficiency, waste management, telecommunications, public safety, healthcare and smart homes in cities like Paris, Barcelona, Copenhagen and other smart cities across the globe.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the innovation centre will create more high tech jobs and smart city technology eco-system in Telangana.

Dayakar Puskoor, general partner of Naya Ventures, a venture capital firm backing Motivity Labs, said the centre was planning to collaborate with the government of India and various state governments to be part of the prestigious projects of digital and smart India.

"Innovation centre for digital and smart India team with its expertise of having built digital solutions and implemented global smart cities will focus on creating customized solutions for India," said Manish Tyagi, CEO of Motivity Labs.
