It was a humid and partly cloudy Monday morning in Delhi with humidity remaining above 80 percent. The weather office has forecast rains later in the day.
The minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
"The sky will be cloudy on Monday and a few spells of rain or thundershowers are expected," he said.
Humidity stood at 84 percent, he said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 33 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively, the official added.
Sunday's maximum temperature was three notches below the average at 33.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 27.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
Monsoon arrived in Delhi a fortnight ahead of schedule June 16, but the city has not received much rainfall since then.
