Spain's Garbiñe Muguruza on Tuesday withdrew from the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships against Ukraine's Kateryna Bondarenko due to physical problems.
The current French Open champion requested medical assistance during the match when she was down 0-3, and then decided to pull out while down 1-4, reports Efe.
Muguruza's withdrawal, who debuted on Tuesday in Dubai, allowed Bondarenko to qualify for the last 16.
The Ukrainian will next face the winner of the duel between Danish Caroline Wozniacki and Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic.
