President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday gave Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi additional charge of Manipur in absence of its Governor Najma Heptullah.
"The President of India is pleased to appoint Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur, in addition to his own duties, during the absence, on leave, of Najma A. Heptulla," said a press comminique released by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
