The condition of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, warded in a Gurgaon hospital due to swine flu, is stable but he remains in intensive care, family sources said on Monday.

Yadav, who is in the Medanta the Medicity hospital, was unable to talk comfortably due to breathing problems, the sources said.

His fever is said to have come down and he was on liquid diet.

Yadav has been put on antibiotics following a urinary tract infection and lung congestion.

His son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Lok Sabha member and daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav, brother Shivpal Singh Yadav and RLD chief Lalu Prasad called on him on Sunday.
