Multiple investigating agencies Friday collected samples from a house in a West Bengal district where two suspected militants were killed and another was injured in an explosion.
The explosion occurred Thursday at a house in Khagragarh in Burdwan district and police suspect the victims were associated with a militant outfit.
Besides some explosives, police have recovered several tools, including watch dials, required to make improvised explosive devices (IED).
Superintendent of Police (Burdwan) S.M.H. Meerza told IANS: "We are interrogating wives of the victims in this regard. Besides the CID, ATS, STF and Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau officers visited the house and collected samples."
While no arrests have been made so far, a bomb disposal squad recovered some explosives from inside the house which were later disposed off.
According to the police, the victims had rented the house a few months back.
House owner Hasan Chowdhury is also being questioned.
