Scottish tennis star Andy Murray marched to the semi-finals of the Australian Open tennis after dismissing Spain's David Ferrer 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6 -2, 6-3 here on Wednesday.
The match lasted three hours and 19 minutes, reports Efe.
The game was suspended at the beginning of the third set because of the strong rain, and was then resumed after covering the roof of the Rod Laver Arena.
This is Murray's sixth appearance in the semi-finals of the Grand Slam. He is yet to win the trophy, despite reaching the final four times.
Murray is now set to play against the winner of the match between Canadian Milos Raonic and French Gael Monfils.
