Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco has warned that World No.3 Andy Murray will be a "big threat" at Wimbledon, beginning June 29.

Murray will attempt to win his second title at Wimbledon this summer, following an impressive clay court season. He won the grass court Major in 2013.

Murray crashed out of the French Open at the semi-final stage to No.1 Novak Djokovic. But Verdasco said he expects his "confidence and momentum" to give him a good chance at Wimbledon.

"Andy's had a great clay season, and he can take huge confidence and momentum from that," Verdasco was quoted as saying by dailystarco.uk on Tuesday.

"And he has the game of course to adapt to grass pretty easily, he serves well, he returns well too, and he has a very good backhand. He has everything to play well on grass, that's why he won Wimbledon and the Olympics.

"Everybody knows already what kind of player he is, especially on grass; he's a big threat for anyone," Verdasco added.
