An Egyptian criminal court Monday sentenced 528 members of the Muslim Brotherhood to death on the charge of assaulting police stations in the upper Minya province in August last year.
The Muslim Brotherhood members were charged with attacking a police station in Mattai district and killing its deputy head after the dispersal of ousted president Mohamed Morsi's supporters from a sit-in in August last year, Xinhua reported.
The court also acquitted 17 other defendants.
