Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi-led National League for Democracy (NLD) has designated one more spokesperson with regard to the party's policy, NLD announced on Wednesday.
In addition to Aung San Suu Kyi, the party's chairperson, Zaw Myint Maung was designated as the party's spokesperson, Xinhua news agency reported.
Zaw Myint Maung, who is a member of the NLD Central Executive Committee, won as a representative to the regional parliament from Amarapura constituency of Mandalay region in the November 8 general elections last year.
In January, NLD designated Suu Kyi as the sole spokesperson with regard to the party's policy.
Following the commencement of the first session of the new Union Parliament on February 8, a presidential election process is to start on Thursday to elect three vice presidents.
Among them, the one who wins the most number of votes will take the presidency while the remaining two shall be vice presidents.
The NLD won an absolute majority of parliamentary seats in the elections and will form a new government independently under the constitution.
